You're welcome. I'm glad you liked them.
The phrase 'Fiji time' is used by the locals meaning that 'there is no rush' or 'the coconut will fall when it's ripe'. This is helpful to visitors in the first few days as they still haven't adapted from the 'need it now' mentality of daily life back home.
Let me know closer to when you go for more info.
;)

Thanks for posting these - the photos are gorgeous and I enjoyed all of the haiku, but particularly enjoyed the ant on the cocktail glass!

:)

Glad you liked them. The ants are the only things that move fast over there!

So wonderful to have the opportunity to peek at the Fiji through your eyes, Paul! Both the photos and poems help to create the atmosphere of the exotic place ...

Thank you!

Haiku is all about 'feel'. I'm pleased you felt something of what it is like to be there.
My favourite is the seashell one as well...

Didn't you recognise A.R in the torchlighting photo? He is a very versatile actor ....

BTW, ask Andrea if he recognises the phrase 'useless beauty' from a singer he might know...

... and salute to you!

glad you enjoyed them. I wrote about 12 in half an hour whilst walking along the beach. I rarely get the chance to do that sort of thing on my own. I think that is needed to get the mind receptive for writing haiku (as you said when you were in the mountains).

I like both photos & ku, can't choose any favourite one - they're so different... and nice :)
thank you for them!
